Bannockburn Property (Click here for Summary of Exploration Work)

The Bannockburn Nickel Project is located approximately 100 km from Timmins Ontario. It is fully accessible by all season roads. The Timmins area hosts other former producing nickel mines shown on the map.

The Property covers approximately 20 km of prospective geology. Included in the property is a block of ground optioned from Outokumpu Mining. (Please click on maps for much larger versions)

Geology in the area includes komatiite flows which host nickel mineralization. The geology map shown below includes geophysical targets from surface geophysics completed on the property.

Mustang Minerals discovered the “C-Zone” of surface nickel mineralization by geophysics which is currently being drilled.

The “C-Zone” is open at both ends. The outline of the zone is pictured below.

Multiple drill targets will be followed up during the 2004 drill program. Results of the geophysical program are compiled on the property map below.

BANNOCKBURN EM/MAG COMPILATION MAP


The dunite hosting the Mt.Keith style nickel mineralization shows up as a geophyscical pink unit. The dunite unit is a target for "Mt.Keith" type bulk tonnage nickel mineralization. Also shown on the above map are the locations of the C-zone and F-zone.
